Friendship Week :)
Last week was friendship week in our school. Every year we celebrate friendship week in October. On the Friday of friendship week our whole school always participate in a fun walk for charity, each year group is given a colour which is their theme for the fun walk. Each class group must prepare a song about friendship and a dance to perform for the whole school and the judges before we go on our walk, the best class from each year group wins a box of sweets! This year my year had to dress up in yellow. One class dressed up as minions from Despicable Me, another class dressed up as ducks and my class made a huge yellow taxi for some people to "drive around in". Our class danced to 'Taxi Cab' by The Naked Brothers Band, which is an old programme that was on Nickelodeon, and 'Jump on it'. We used the dance that Will and Jaden Smith performed on The Graham Norton Show. It was great fun but unfortunately we didn't win :( The walk was good fun too, the whole school walked around Celbridge dressed up in all different colours, I'm sure we must have looked quite strange to the people who were driving by!

This week I started work experience in Maxi Zoo Maynooth. I left my house really early so that I could get the twenty past eight bus to Maynooth. I was waiting at the bus stop for ages with loads of other people who were also waiting to get the bus to work and college. As if I wasn't nervous enough, the bus didn't come! I didn't miss it or anything, it just didn't show up. At this stage it was quarter to nine and I was still waiting for the bus with all the other frustrated people. I started to panic because I didn't want to be late for my first day of work experience, what kind of impression would that give the employers! In the end I had to get my Mam to give me a lift, as we drove up to Maynooth we could see all the worried faces of the college students who were going to miss their lectures. I arrived in Maxi Zoo at exactly nine o'clock. Thank God!!
When I was introduced to everyone working there I realized that I had nothing to worry about, everyone was really friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my day in Maxi Zoo because even though they don't sell pets in the shop, there was always animals there. The shop themselves have a pet bird and one of the employees brings her German Shepard puppy to work everyday, customers are also allowed to bring their pets into the shop, so I was around different types of pets all day! I'm looking forward to my next day of Work Experience, hopefully I wont have such bad luck with the bus next week! :)

A Great Trip :)
So much has happened since last time I posted! the whole year of TY went on a trip to Carlingford in County Louth. we spent two days in Carlingford Adventure Centre and we spent Monday night in a hostel. The hostel was great fun because we all got to share a room with our friends, we didnt get much sleep though that night because we stayed up late and got up very early the next morning.
During the two days we spent there we got to take part in a lot of different great activities such as Laser Combat, archery, zorbing, challenge courses, kayaking, night walks and much more! We had a great time in Carlingford it was great fun and it gave our year a chance to bond and get to know eachother better! :)
